ACCA Internally Assessed

What are Internally Assessed Exams?

Some colleges, such as LCA, are specially accredited by the ACCA to internally assess Knowledge Module papers (F1-3). In addition to formal two hour exams, assessment is also by means of various pieces of coursework. The two hour exams are set by LCA lecturers and are usually sat at the same time as the ACCA's external exams.

Your final result is based on a combination of coursework and exam marks - 30% of the final credit relates to coursework, and 70% to exam performance. This therefore reduces the pressure on you in the exams and indicates how well you need to perform in the exams to pass the overall paper.

Students who sucessfully complete the internally assessed F1-3 courses will then be eligible to attempt subsequent papers externally.

Cost of Internally Assessed Exams

The exam fee for each Internally Assessed Exam is: £50 per paper. Please note that students must also pay an exemption fee directly to the ACCA.

Knowledge Module Internally Assessed Exams

There are three exams to be sat in the Knowledge Module:

Paper F1Accountant in Business
 Paper F2Management Accounting
Paper F3Financial Accounting

Students are advised to sit F3 and F2 together, since the subjects complement each other.
