6 March 2009

LCA has been named as PQ Magazine's College of the Year for 2009. Presented by one of the UK's leading specialist publication for accountancy professionals, this award underlines the achievements made by LCA during 2008.

Since its launch in 2000, LCA has become a market leader in professional accountancy education and training.

Speaking after the awards ceremony, Managing Director Ravi Gill stated that the award was a team effort and he was proud that the team at LCA continue to set standards that were the envy of others. He emphasised that Flexibility, Quality, Innovation and Affordability were the drivers that had bought LCA and their students’ success and these drivers would continue to be at the forefront of future actions.

Flexibility: a course to suit student needs
Students come to LCA from all round the world and we know that quality, choice and flexibility at an affordable price are paramount for such a global market. We offer students an extensive variety of accountancy and management professional, undergraduate and postgraduate course options including ACCA, CAT, BA, MSc and an MBA International.
For flexibility students can choose from one of four start dates per year.

Quality: First class lecturers: ACCA Platinum Status and UK academic programmes

LCA lecturers are recognised internationally for their knowledge and ability to explain complex ideas in a way that students enjoy and understand. The quality of our courses is a major focus at LCA and a primary reason for our partnership with Anglia Ruskin University. We offer validated accounting and management courses at access, undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including a BA(Honours) and an MSc in International Accounting and an MBA International. The quality of our courses is also demonstrated through our status as an ACCA Platinum Approved Learning Partner College; an accreditation only given by ACCA to a small number of colleges throughout the world, and the Queen’s Award for Enterprise, awarded to LCA in 2006 in recognition of LCA’s performance in working with overseas students. The Applied Accounting degree has been given the maximum 9 exemptions from the ACCA professional accountancy qualification enabling a student to complete their ACCA studies within a year of graduating.

Innovation: our programmes keep pace with a changing market
All our programmes are designed with the student and the changing world of work in mind. As a result, we have introduced two year degree programmes, an MBA with a Capstone paper to replace the more traditional dissertation and an Access course which may be completed in just three months.

Student success is top of our agenda
Students who come to LCA can rest assured that their exam success is our top priority. Over the years our numbers have increased as students from over 100 countries have recognised the benefits of studying with LCA: top quality lecturers supported by excellent study materials, in a caring and supportive learning environment.
